  • Alexandre Nunes

    Coach

    Coach Alex is a product of both St. John's Minor Soccer and the FAA. As a youth player, he was a regular in NLSA and White Caps Academy programs. Currently, he is a valuable member of both the MUN Sea-Hawks Varsity team and the FAA Challenge Cup squad. Not just a one sport star, Alex also captured a bronze medal in the AUS track and field championships this past year

  • Cecilia Hollett

    Coach

    Coach Cecilia's leadership and enthusiasm with our young academy members is vital to our program's success. Cecilia takes a lead role in our Rain Drops program as well as our girls training sessions. Cecilia is a current player with FAA and is attending Memorial University where she is studying Kinesiology.

  • Emmanuel Dolo

    Coach

    Coach Dolo is well known in soccer circles in our province. He was part of the National Youth Program from the age of 14 and since then, his experiences include being named an AUS All Star, multiple Challenge Cup All Star Selections, as well as trials in the USL and CPL professional leagues. He also coaches high school basketball, and serves as an inspiration for many young soccer players.

  • Greg Winter

    Director

    Coach Greg is the founder of Rain City Athletics. He is a former University basketball player at both Memorial and Acadia University and founded Rain City with a belief that youth sports can help inspire kids to become the best versions of themselves. Greg enjoys spending time with his family as well as coaching basketball. He is currently working towards a Masters Degree in Sport Coaching from the University of Denver.

  • Ryan Kenny

    Coach

    Coach Ryan played in both St. John's Minor Soccer and Feildians programs growing up and was a part of the NLSA program. A reliable teammate and friend, Coach Ryan always has your back and can be counted on to help you reach your goals. An advocate for mental health, Coach Ryan recently completed a challenge to run 16 miles everyday for a month to help raise funds and bring awareness to mental health. Congratulations Ryan!

  • Simon Pope

    Coach

    Coach Simon is a veteran of several Challenge Cup Seasons and has been recognized as a Challenge Cup All Star, while playing a leadership role with two championship teams with FAA. A product of the St. John's minor soccer association, Simon has coached many years in minor and high school soccer.


    At Rain City, Simon specializes in small group and individual/private training.  If you cheer for the blue team that plays at Stamford Bridge, you're alright with Simon! Go Chelsea!
